Thank you to Matthew Lambert for his dedication to the fields of 'Conflict Management' and ‘Dispute Resolution' as demonstrated by his continued work in these fields and his years of teaching the Law-Related Education (LRE) class, "Positive Choices" on behalf of the Youth Court program at our center.
When asked to tell us about Matt, Jayn Graves, CEO of United Way of NNY stated, "He has been a friend of the community through the United Way for many years."
We asked Matt to think back to the origins of his relationship with the Resolution Center and the following is his response:
"Some of the most significant recollections that I have from my experience with the Resolution Center are the outstanding trainings that I have been able to attend, in addition to the tremendously dedicated trainers and volunteers who make up the dispute resolution network. I continuously integrate conflict management and resolution strategies into my duties as a Counselor and Instructor at Jefferson Community College.
Over the last seventeen years (since 1994), I was able to attend 7 professional development trainings related to dispute resolution and conflict management, compliments of the Resolution Center."
In return, since the LRE classes first began in 2002, a few hundred youth ages 7 to 15 have benefited from lessons designed by Matt to increase their self-awareness in the hopes of improving their decision making skills.
We thank him for his years of dedication and support!
Laurie Mann, our Youth Court Director, Youth Court and all of us at the Resolution Center appreciate Matt's years of service
